TAKE REFUGE was a live charity concert to raise money for AFRICA YOUTH CAMPS
The Concert was held on the 24th October 2009 and was sold out. It was a great experience and we are indebted to everyone who supported it and gave so generously to raise money for Africa Youth Camps.

What did the Programme consist of?
The songs on the night consisted of a blend of new and old, African and English! Many were well known to you as they were taken from all three of the Voice of His Word CDs including the latest - Refuge. There was also a sneak preview of songs from the next cd and a few that we learnt in Africa at the Youth Camps too!
A special youth choir was formed as a 'one-off' for the event, with Esther Mannell and John Palmer leading the singing. Joni Mannell encouraged us with some spiritual soundbites throughout the programme and the whole evening was really encouraging and uplifting!
This really was a one off evening of praise and we don't think Walsall Town Centre had ever seen so many Christadelphians or such sounds reverberating around it's Town Hall!
Why did we hold a concert?
The proceeds from the most recent cd we produced (Refuge) have funded several youth camps in East Africa. The camps have been really valuable in providing the young people with an environment where they can spend time with others who share their faith and where they can learn and develop together. However the fund had almost run dry and it would be really sad if we couldn't have found a way, for now, to keep supporting them. So, the Take Refuge concert was born (Watch the video for more info). We really wanted to provide an enjoyable evening by sharing our music that has been 100% inspired by the Word of God. At the same time the proceeds from tickets, donations and DVD/CD sales bolstered the fund for another few years.
